La globalización es un tema que nos toca a todos, diariamente vemos en la televisión, en el periódico y en las revistas noticias sobre los TLC, uniones entre mercados y privatización. Pero simplemente observamos sin preocuparnos, son muy pocos los que toman interés sobre esto y se preguntan ¿Qué es lo que en realidad está pasando?. No son solo tratados, ni diálogos, ni discusiones, hay una gran historia detrás de todo esto, en Colombia y en el mundo.
La rápida tendencia a la llamada globalización se inicio prácticamente en la década del 80, con la integración de la unión soviética y de los países del este de Europa a la economía de mercado, es decir la vinculación del sector privado de producción y distribución de bienes y servicios en esa parte del mundo.
Esto origino importantes avances sociales, con notables logros en el mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida de la población, especialmente en la educación y en la salud, el sistema de economía planificada o socialista entro en crisis, convirtiéndose en el acontecimiento histórico de más impacto en los últimos tres años.
Después de más de 70 años de la revolución socialista y de el establecimiento de una economía centralizada, donde el gobierno controlaba y dirigía la totalidad de la actividad económica, el país más grande del mundo, con enormes recursos y con una población educada y trabajadora, a finales del año 70 comenzó a registrar problemas de pobreza y su crecimiento económico comenzó a descender.
Algunos análisis coinciden en que este sistema económico fue incapaz de asimilar la revolución tecnológica de los años 70 y 80, y concentro sus recursos científicos e industriales en la actividad militar. La población empezó a ser afectada por la inflación la cual fue provocada por una alarmante escasez de alimentos demás bienes de consumo. La producción descendió rápidamente y la calidad de industria se deterioro.
Esto nos demuestra que la globalización no contempla resultados positivos, hay un sinfín de problemas que está causando, por eso es necesario investigar y no quedarse solo con lo que los medios nos informan.
